 FAQs

1) What gave you the idea of a podcast?

The original idea came from a podcast that I was listening to called Radio Redux. I was intrigued at how the host ArcangelUK was able to act. I also liked radio because it sort of "set you free". You can voice your opinions on certain shows and such, and all this without having to show your face.

Then came; The Sonic Show, where I got to be a solo narrator in the second installment. It felt amazing. I then decided since I had spare time (a lot of it), to make a podcast.

2) Do you use any advanced systems to make your show?

I'm cheap, and since my station's budget is zero dollars, I use things I can either find for free, or can record for free.

3) What programs do you use?

Firstly Audacity. (http://audacity.sourceforge.net/) It's an audio-editing program. That's how I added the echoes in episode 000 and changed & arranged the title music.

Secondly is the Internet. (Wows) I use this baby to find all my sound effects and such.

4) Did you borrow those music files from people or are they all your own?

Most are mine; I think I got Free Bird from someone else's computer. I'm an audiophile, and I can't go anywhere without music.

5) Spits or swallows?

...next question -.-'

6) Do you do all those voices?

Yes, I like doing other voices. I guess when I was little, I wanted to be the character (Be the ball son. *is hit in nuts from baseball I failed to hit*) The first person I was really able to hit was Timon from The Lion King, then Pumbaa, Genie (Aladdin), Shrek, Austin Powers, and finally just general accents and famous people like Jean Chretien (for sures on dat).

Edit: However, for some voices like Colleen's, I prefer to have a female play them.

Just because I can play tons of voices doesn't mean I want to.

7) Who do you think is making the biggest impression on the show?

If I had to be honest, it'd be Imago and Aether. (it's neck and neck folks!) Imago put this whole site together and has been making codings for me, and Aether made a special section on the forum for radio thingies. In truth, they are as much a part of the show as myself and the listeners.

8) How do you find time to make these podcasts?

Well, since I have a lot of free time (unemployment rocks for a while until you run outta cash), it isn't hard. However even a guy like me gets busy, so that's why IO ask for things early just in case of the universal pain in the ass arrives; plans change, lives change....change in general.

9) Of all the episodes so far, which is your favourite?

Hmm....I'd have to say it'd be episode...003. It's my biggest episode thus far (2 hours), and I love it. Episodes 004 and 001 are great too.
